Description: "The Robin's Egg" Sold at Bonhams for 3200.00 A gorgeous nodule of a rare aluminum-containing species, named after the Latin caeruleus, meaning "sky-blue" referring to its astonishingly bright color—a rich cerulean blue! The face has been superbly polished revealing the gemmy, carving-grade material within. The exterior has the matte or granular surface texture of the original nugget. This originates from the type locality for the species "a one-time find." The best example of this mineral on Earth. A rare investment opportunity. (2 x ¼ x 1 ½ in)
