| Description: |
A round faceted helenite. Also known as emerald obsidianite. It is a 3.5 ct stone and measures just under 1.0 cm. It is a round brilliant cut. Helenite is an artificial glass made from the fused volcanic rock dust from Mount St. Helens. The process was accidentally discovered when workers using torches noticed that intense heat melted the nearby ash, turning is a greenish color. It is an attractive emerald green stone. |
