| Description: |
A gorgeous old-time spessartine garnet specimen with deep burgundy red crystals on contrasting white microcline feldspar crystals. Very few specimens of this size were collected from this rather obscure Calfifornia locality. The label for the specimen notes on the back "Collected by Maury Morgenstein in 1969". This specimen hosts spessartine crystals to about 7mm wide and is in pristine condition. Quite rare! |
